We are looking for an exceptional Policy Officer to make an active contribution to the development of higher education policy and practice in Wales.

Universities Wales represents the interests of universities in Wales and is a National Council of Universities UK  Working with the Head of External Affairs and Policy, this role will work to increase the reach and impact of Universities Wales’ work, helping deliver Universities Wales’ mission to support a university education system which transforms lives through the work Welsh universities do with the people and places of Wales and the wider world.

You will be responsible for preparing and coordinating Universities Wales consultation responses, supporting Universities Wales’ governing committee and policy networks, and monitoring and advising on developments within the sector.

The successful candidate will have experience of policy development, excellent attention to accuracy and detail, and a good understanding of higher education in Wales.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in policy development in a dynamic, representative organisation operating at a national level in Wales. 

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the post holder is expected to work remotely for the time being.

The post holder is expected to work 21 hours per week.
