Universities UK and Universities UK International are currently offering two exciting new opportunities to work as part of our talented in-house communications teams.
The Media Officer will be based in the media team at Universities UK, helping us make a big impression across print, online, broadcast and social media. As world leaders in research, teaching and innovation, our universities have amazing stories to tell, particularly as they contribute to the national recovery effort post-pandemic. The post-holder will be able to spot a great story, write compelling releases, create succinct arguments, and adapt their writing style for everything from articles and letters to blogs and tweets.
The Communications Officer will join the External Affairs team at Universities UK International, supporting the team with events marketing, content development, social media, publications, website management and stakeholder communications. With UK universities navigating the ongoing impact of the pandemic and the implications of the UK’s exit from the EU, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop communications skills in a fast-paced environment.
Both roles will help contribute towards the delivery of our five-year strategic plan and will suit applicants seeking to further develop their communications and campaigns skills.
To apply, please upload a CV and a covering letter - no more than two sides of A4, outlining your suitability based on the requirements of the role.
We expect that some applicants will be interested in both roles, and welcome applications from candidates with an interest in, and suitability for, both roles.
We request that applicants interested in applying for both roles make this clear within one cover letter.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the post holder is expected to work remotely for the time being.
Interviews are expected to take place from 3 February 2021.
